Custom printed boxes need a print run of several hundred and a mould charge. Most small businesses in India cannot justify that on their current order volume, so they ship in plain packaging and hope the product carries the brand on its own.
There is a middle path. You buy plain boxes and mailers cheaply, then apply your branding yourself with three reusable tools. The tools cost under ₹3,000 together, they have no minimum order quantity, and they work on every box you will ever buy.
The logo stamp
The workhorse. A MarkMyBrand custom logo stamp at ₹499 puts your logo onto kraft boxes, paper bags, tissue paper, thank you cards and invoices. One stamp, unlimited impressions, and you change the look by changing the ink colour.
This is the highest-return item on the page. A plain kraft mailer costs a few rupees. Stamped with your logo it looks deliberate, and the difference in what a customer photographs and posts is real.
What to know before ordering. A stamp reproduces solid shapes well and fine detail poorly. If your logo has hairline strokes, small text or a gradient, it will need simplifying for a stamp, and the simplified version usually looks better anyway. Send us your logo and we will tell you what it needs.
The printed ribbon
The custom name and logo ribbon comes in satin or grosgrain with your brand name printed along it. Full details are in the ribbons collection.
The two fabrics behave differently. Satin has a sheen and ties into a soft, glossy bow, which suits gifting, jewellery, and anything aimed at a wedding or festival purchase. Grosgrain is ribbed and matte, holds a crisper edge, and reads more structured, which suits stationery, coffee, and brands with a plainer look.
Ribbon does something a stamp cannot. It is the thing the customer's hands touch first and the thing that makes a parcel feel like a gift rather than a delivery. For a business selling anything given to another person, it earns its cost quickly.
The embossed seal
An Impressa paper embosser at ₹1,669 presses your logo into paper with no ink. A 40 mm stainless steel plate, cut once to your artwork, used forever.
It is the most expensive of the three and the one that signals price. An embossed mark on a thank you card or a certificate carries a weight that a printed one does not, which is why it turns up on legal documents, wedding invitations and premium packaging.
Where it earns its cost: authentication. If you sell anything where a buyer might reasonably ask whether it is genuine, an embossed seal on the paperwork is a hard thing to fake casually and a cheap thing for you to apply.
Pair it with the Signature Seal plain embossing cards, 20 for ₹299, in a weight that takes a clean impression.
How they work together
A worked example for a small business shipping 40 orders a month:
- Outer mailer: plain kraft, logo stamped in one colour.
- Inside: tissue paper, same stamp, tied with printed ribbon.
- Thank you card: embossed seal, handwritten note.
Total tooling cost is roughly ₹2,600 for the stamp and embosser, plus the ribbon. Per-order cost after that is the ink, the ribbon length and the card. There is no reprint charge when you change box suppliers, and no dead stock of pre-printed boxes if you rebrand.
The whole set is in the small business essentials collection.
What this approach does not do
Applying branding by hand takes time, and at high volume that time becomes the constraint. Somewhere past a few hundred orders a month, printed boxes stop being extravagant and start being cheaper than the labour of stamping. This kit is the right answer below that line, not above it.
It also will not give you full-colour printed artwork across a box face. A stamp is one colour per impression.
Common questions
Is there a minimum order quantity?
No, on any item here.
What logo file do you need?
Vector is best. A high resolution PNG with a transparent background also works. A small file pulled from a website usually does not.
How many impressions does a stamp last for?
Thousands, with a self-inking or pad-inked stamp used normally. Re-ink the pad rather than replacing the stamp.
Satin or grosgrain?
Satin for gifting and a soft look, grosgrain for a structured, matte finish.
Can I get the same logo on all three?
Yes, and you should. Send the file once and we will set it up for the stamp, the ribbon and the embosser.
