Most people pick a personalised mug by looking at the design. Size is what they notice after it arrives. A mug photographed alone on a white background gives you no sense of scale, and a 100 ml cup and a 350 ml mug can look identical in the picture.
Here is what to check, in the order that matters.
Read the capacity line, not the photo
Every mug listing on our cups and mugs collection carries a capacity figure in the specifications block. Read it before anything else, because it decides whether the mug is a daily coffee cup or a small keepsake.
- Under 150 ml is a cutting-chai size. Charming as a gift, too small for someone who drinks a full mug of coffee at their desk.
- 200 to 300 ml covers most everyday use, including tea, filter coffee and hot chocolate.
- Above 300 ml suits people who refill less often, and travellers who want a lid.
If a listing shows a capacity that seems to disagree with the description, ask us before ordering. We would rather answer the question than process a return.
Ceramic, double wall or glass
The material changes how the mug feels and how long the print lasts.
Glazed ceramic is the default for a reason. It holds heat, takes a name print cleanly, and costs the least. The Classic Sip white mug at ₹599 and the Opus Blanc at ₹649 are both this type. Pastel bodies like the Golden Sip and Misty Sip at ₹699 are the same ceramic with a coloured glaze.
Double wall glass keeps the outside cool while the drink stays hot, and it shows the colour of the tea or coffee through the wall. The Pure Halo at ₹699 is the one to look at. It photographs beautifully and is the better choice for someone who already owns six ceramic mugs.
Tall glass with a straw is a different product altogether, closer to a cold-coffee tumbler than a mug. The Sip & Shine at ₹649 fits iced drinks and summer gifting.

How the name is printed, and how to keep it
Our mugs are dishwasher safe. The care line on every listing asks you to avoid scrubbing directly over the name, and that single instruction is what separates a mug that reads clearly after two years from one that fades in six months. Abrasive scrubbers and steel wool will lift printed text on any brand of mug, ours included. A soft sponge does the job.
On text styling, our default sets the first letter in capital and the rest in lowercase, so a name comes out as Monish rather than MONISH. If you want all caps or a specific spelling with a matra or a nickname, type it exactly as you want it printed in the personalisation field. We print what you send.
One mug, a pair, or a set with names
Three situations, three different answers.
A single gift. One name, one design. The Ethereal Monogram works when you want something restrained, and the Destiny Sip horoscope mug at ₹349 works when you know the person's sun sign and they care about it.
A couple. The Cozy Cup couple set at ₹1,299 ships two mugs with two names. Buying two singles costs about the same and gives you two separate boxes, which is worth knowing if the two people live in different cities.
Return gifts with individual names. This is where personalised mugs earn their keep at a birthday or a naming ceremony, and it is also where people underestimate lead time. Lead time is the thing that goes wrong
Every mug on the site is made to order. Nothing sits in a warehouse waiting with your name already on it. Each product page carries its own dispatch window, and festival weeks compress everything, so a Rakhi or Diwali order placed at the last minute is the one most likely to disappoint.
Order two weeks ahead for a festival. For a bulk return-gift set with individual names, give us three.

- Type the name exactly as it should be printed, including capitals.
- Check whether the occasion needs a lid, a straw or neither.
- Count the pieces you need and add one spare for a bulk order.
