A custom printed ribbon is the cheapest way to make every box you send look branded. The box can be plain. The tissue can be plain. The moment a ribbon with your name on it is tied around the lid, the whole parcel reads as yours.
This guide covers choosing width and colour, preparing artwork, and the ways Indian bakers, boutiques, planners and brands actually use it.
What you can order
Our custom name and logo ribbon is printed with your logo, brand name or message in a single colour, in four widths and ten ribbon colours.
| Width | Price | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| 19 mm (0.75 inch) | ₹1,999 | Small boxes, jewellery, cupcake boxes, gift tags, favours |
| 25 mm (1 inch) | ₹2,199 | Most packaging. The all rounder |
| 38 mm (1.5 inch) | ₹2,599 | Cake boxes, hampers, larger apparel boxes |
| 50 mm (2 inch) | ₹3,199 | Big hampers, wedding trays, bold bows where the logo must read from a distance |
Colours: black, red, baby pink, white, gold, beige, coffee brown, silver, baby blue and turquoise.
Choosing the width
Match the ribbon to the box, not to your ambition. A 50 mm ribbon on a small jewellery box looks like a sash. A 19 mm ribbon on a large hamper disappears. A quick rule: the ribbon width should be roughly a tenth of the box's shorter side, rounded to the nearest option. If you only buy one width, buy 25 mm.
Width also decides how big your logo prints. On 19 mm ribbon, a detailed logo becomes very small, so a short brand name usually reads better than a full logo.
Choosing the colour
- Match your packaging, contrast your print. A black ribbon with gold print on a white box. A beige ribbon with brown print on kraft.
- Keep the print colour legible. Pale print on a pale ribbon looks elegant in a photo and unreadable in a hand.
- Pick one house colour and keep it. Customers start to recognise the ribbon before they read it.
Artwork that prints well on ribbon
- Single colour. The print is one colour, so send a one colour version of your logo.
- Horizontal layouts. A wide wordmark suits a ribbon. A tall stacked logo shrinks to fit the height.
- No hairlines. Very thin strokes can break up on fabric.
- Vector files (AI, EPS, SVG, PDF) are best. A sharp, high resolution PNG also works.
Monogram ribbons for weddings follow the same rules: initials and a date, set large and simple.
How people use it
Home bakers and cake studios
Tied around cake and brownie boxes, it is the difference between a home order and a brand. Customers photograph the box before they open it, and your name is in that photo.
Boutiques and jewellery brands
A narrow ribbon on small boxes, a wider one on apparel boxes, same colour on both.
Weddings and events
Names or monograms on favour boxes, dry fruit trays, return gifts and invitation boxes.
Corporate and festive gifting
Company name on Diwali hampers and client gifts. Pair it with the box and card for a consistent set.
Build the full kit
Ribbon works best with two other tools: a logo stamp (from ₹499) for boxes and bags, and a logo embosser (from ₹1,669) for thank you cards. The Prestige Romance branding hamper puts an embosser, a self-inking stamp and personalised ribbon together in one box for ₹3,299.
Common questions
Is it satin or grosgrain?
The listing is satin, which has a soft sheen and ties a glossy bow. If you need matte, ribbed grosgrain for a more structured look, message us before ordering.
How much ribbon comes in one order?
Ask us for the current roll length for your chosen width before you order, so you can work out cost per box.
Can I print two different texts?
Each order carries one design. Order separately for a second design.
How long does it take?
Dispatch is usually same day to 2 to 3 days after design approval.
